Get the jewelry answers you need now in our weekly rapid fire Q+A with BE’s Founder Laura Freedman.
On the agenda this week: jewelry for weddings as the bride and as a guest.
1) When a bride is looking for special jewels for all of her events, are there certain pieces you love to suggest?
It really depends on the bride. I always think of Shay or Anita Ko for their classic appeal. Antique and vintage pieces are a personal favorite for those events. I think it’s important to make sure to get pieces that you will want to wear again. Things that not only celebrate the moment, but capture it. This is why jewelry is so special.
2) Who are the new or tried-and-true engagement ring designers in the store right now?
Again, Anita, Shay are classics. However, I really love Azlee and Baylee does such a good job redefining classic silhouettes and giving them an old world feel. Carbon and Hyde, EF Collection and Wwake also have some stunning options.
3) What are some of your favorite recommendations for a commitment ring that feels a little more untraditional?
The Engelbert knot ring is a fun untraditional option with meaning that is baked into the history of jewelry. It’s a beautiful metaphor for tying the knot.
4) Do you have any great gift ideas for a bridesmaid token of appreciation?
Wwake is a perfect line to look at if you are wanting to show your appreciation to your bridal party. I also love the new charms by Trouver for a gift if you’re spreading the love over a larger group. For a more intimate grousomething truly memorable, I’d say Foundrae all the way.
5) As a super stylish guest, what are some of your go-to jewels that are easy to pack and style for a wedding weekend?
For any special event. You won’t catch me without either my Engelbert diamond drop links in multiple piercings or vintage diamond Colette drops. I also love wearing the Sidney Garber collar or my vintage carrier diamond tennis necklace.
