What kind of jewelry vibe are you especially loving right now and why?
A year ago, I found a tiger’s eye necklace at Portobello Market and snapped it up immediately. It complements my everyday gold jewelry but feels more earthy. Since then, I’ve gravitated toward stones like lapis, Dalmatian jasper, and ironically enough, my birthstone which I used to dislike, peridot. Adding more texture and color has been fun.
How are you styling some of these jewels personally?
A dozen years ago, I was an editor at Elle covering jewelry, and I took real care in curating what jewelry I wore. Somewhere along the way, I drifted from that. Now that I’m a mom, I’ve been making an extra effort to style my clothes and jewelry in a way that feels distinctly mine. It’s part rebellion against the copy-paste sameness I see on social media, and part conscious effort to stay connected to myself amid the demands of motherhood. In practice, that means taking a few extra minutes to dig through my jewelry box and add one more necklace, or try an unexpected combination.
Are there some trends you’re really into right now? In jewelry, fashion, music, art, food?
Turquoise is having a moment again, and I’m more than happy to lead that charge!

What about summer are you most excited about?
My daughter just turned six months old, and she’s really starting to engage with the world around her. I’m looking forward to slowing down and spending quiet afternoons in the park with her, seeing everything through her eyes.
Aside from work trips, do you have any other fun upcoming travels? What are your must-haves when traveling?
We booked a spontaneous trip to Mykonos. I travel light, but a few things are non-negotiable. My Eres swimwear has lasted me years and somehow always fits well, no matter what phase of life I’m in, postpartum included. I invested in EU-plug versions of my two favorite hair tools, something I recommend to anyone who travels a lot. And then there’s my neck pillow: nothing fancy, just an Amazon find, but it molds into any position you want. If you end up stuck in a middle seat, it’s a lifesaver.
