WWAKE
WWAKE Jewelry was created by Wing Yau, a New York-based designer born in the Pacific Northwest. Hailing from a background in sculpture at Rhode Island School of Design, she assisted NYC artists and galleries before falling into design. After making a series of necklaces based on textile sculptures, Yau developed WWAKE in 2012 with the intention of merging art with the intimacy of jewelry. In 2013 she launched her first fine jewelry collection, for which the brand is known today.
WWAKE Jewelry
Inspired by the tradition of art breaking with convention, WWAKE offers a new perspective on heirloom jewelry with unexpected arrangements and modern silhouettes. The pieces are defined by their signature contour shapes and light stone arrangements.
WWAKE Birthstone Charms
Birthstones are associated with specific months of the year, and are believed to have special powers and properties. For example, the birthstone for February, amethyst, is believed to symbolize sobriety and spiritual wisdom.
Many people choose to wear their birthstone to celebrate their own personal identity and honor their birthday month.
WWAKE offers birthstone charms that can be added to their fine jewelry pieces or worn as pendants on a necklace. Each birthstone charm consists of a precious stone set in 14k gold. Available in all 12 birthstones, these charms can be purchased individually or as part of a set. The charms are meant to be a personal and meaningful addition to any fine jewelry piece and can be given as a gift.
The birthstones available are as follows:
- January: Garnet
- February: Amethyst
- March: Aquamarine
- April: Diamond
- May: Emerald
- June: Pearl, Moonstone, or Alexandrite
- July: Ruby
- August: Peridot
- September: Sapphire
- October: Opal or Pink Tourmaline
- November: Citrine or Topaz
- December: Turquoise, Zircon, or Tanzanite
(Please note: Traditional birthstones listed above may vary slightly depending on the source and cultural background.)
