What are the essential everyday jewelry staples that every jewelry box should hold?
My everyday staples are Trouver Half Baguette huggies in 8mm, 6mm, and 5mm. I wear them in all of my piercings. Huggies are an earring essential everyone should have, no matter your personal style. I’ve been nonstop wearing my Prasi link necklace all summer. It’s the perfect size link and a classic link necklace is a must. I’m obsessed with the Anita Ko Zipper Ring: the right amount of bling for a diamond ring basic. The Sydney Garber dome cuff is my all time favorite bracelet, a classic statement bracelet that feels easy enough to wear everyday.
Which statement jewelry standbys should jewelry lovers consider when building their collection?
I think everyone should invest in a few antique and vintage pieces. I love everything about Bulgari. Especially the chains or the Toubagas. I think Jenna Blake has the most beautiful diamond drop necklaces and snake rings for a subtle statement piece you’ll want to wear over and over again. Also! Don’t forget the best physical place for a jewelry collection to live is in an equally gorgeous jewelry box. One of our exclusive Silvia Furmanovich wooden boxes would be an incredible place to hold these treasures.
When looking for something a little more personal, can you share some of the best symbolic & sentimental pieces that make for milestone gifting or celebrating?
Cadar is one of the most talented designers. She has such an attention to detail and all of her mechanisms are on point. They are classic with a sophisticated edge and great for celebrating a special occasion. I love her new necklaces, her classic hoops, and her feather collection.
For a shopper who wants to stay current, which are some of your favorite unique or contemporary categories that are gaining traction right now?
My favorites for contemporary are Dries Criel Brute Earrings for a new twist on a classic hoop style. Anita Ko makes the best ear cuffs and climbers with gorgeous diamonds. Shay’s timeless chains look so good on both men and women.
Do you have any pointers for someone trying to find something that works best for them individually?
Shop for what makes the most sense for you. If you are looking for simple pieces to never take off, consider a durable metal and a strong stone like diamonds in unfussy silhouettes. If you love switching up pieces, experiment with bolder proportions and unusual statements to constantly restyle. If a piece speaks strongly to you, chances are you will want to wear it over and over again. Go with your gut and make it fun!
