Broken English Jewelry provides a unique shopping experience featuring uniquely designed jewelry. The items on the Broken English website were designed and fabricated by artists, meeting Broken English's criteria of originality and quality of workmanship. Each piece is individually made and production schedules attempt, as much as possible, to accommodate customer's deliver requests. However, orders not in stock are subject to the availability of raw materials, production and delivery schedules. Also, all of the jewelry is manufactured in a studio setting and features subtle variations in detail and finish from items photographed on our website.

NO SALES TAX

We are a California and New York business; sales tax will only be applied if you live in the states of California, New York or as otherwise required by law.

RETURN POLICY

If you are dissatisfied with any item that you purchased online or wish to exchange it, you may return it to Broken English Designs LLC for credit only under the following conditions, which are strictly observed:

Cancellations must be made within 24 hours from the date your order is received.

Returns must be received within 7 business days of receipt.

Items must be without wear and in pristine condition.

Returned item(s) are in their original packaging.

All special order sales and sales items are final sale, including any alterations and/or modifications requested by customer. A special order includes any item(s) not in stock, which has to be made especially for the customer. Customers will be notified immediately via email regarding this matter and can choose to cancel their purchase within 24 hours of receipt of such notification. 

Items purchased on our website cannot be returned to our store locations for credit, nor does our internet return policy apply to items purchased at our stores.

Shipping charges will be deducted from any credits.

All return shipments must be insured for the full dollar amount and shipped back via UPS.

SPECIAL ORDERS

We try to maintain our website with currently featured items that are available in inventory. However, due to the handcrafted nature of our jewelry, this is not always possible. If the piece you are interested in is out of stock, we will contact you via email with an estimated shipping date, and you can choose to cancel your order within 24 hours of receipt of such notice. If you choose to go forward with your order, it will be a final sale and the above return policy will apply to your purchase. This policy also applies to any jewelry that is altered or changed pursuant to your request.

SECTION 4 - SHOPIFY

Our store is hosted on Shopify Inc. They provide us with the online e-commerce platform that allows us to sell our products and services to you.

Your data is stored through Shopify’s data storage, databases and the general Shopify application. They store your data on a secure server behind a firewall.

Payment:
If you choose a direct payment gateway to complete your purchase, then Shopify stores your credit card data. It is encrypted through the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI-DSS). Your purchase transaction data is stored only as long as is necessary to complete your purchase transaction. After that is complete, your purchase transaction information is deleted.

All direct payment gateways adhere to the standards set by PCI-DSS as managed by the PCI Security Standards Council, which is a joint effort of brands like Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Discover.

PCI-DSS requirements help ensure the secure handling of credit card information by our store and its service providers.
