LALAoUNIS is an iconic Greek family jewelry brand, world-renowned for creating exquisite gold jewelry steeped in history. Inspiration for the collections is drawn mainly from ancient Greek Art, ranging from the pre-historic period to the Minoan, Classical, Hellenistic and Byzantine times. The fourth generation of LALAoUNIS, sisters Katerini, Maria, Demetra and Ioanna, have been at the helm of the business since 2000. They continue the long family tradition embracing their Greek Heritage and history with the same love, appreciation and enthusiasm of their father Ilias who after branching away from his uncle’s business founded his eponymous company in 1968. Maria Lalaounis, the company’s Creative Director, creates collections in the LALAoUNIS atelier in Athens that are at once innovative and inspirational using ancient jewelry techniques combined with contemporary processes.
