“I love wearing jewelry in the summer but get a little nervous mixing them with salt water, sunscreen and chlorine. What are some tips to maintain pieces against the elements?"
This is a tricky one because we love the effortless feeling of summer jewels, but not all pieces are made to never take off. Swap sensitive stones like turquoise and pearls for more resilient diamonds or quartz if you plan on swimming in your jewels. Apply sunscreen well before putting on your jewels to avoid any murkiness from lotions. And as a general rule of thumb, avoid going in the ocean with anything you don’t plan on letting Mother Nature permanently borrow!
