"I have always been in love with color, especially the colors you find in nature. I love to play with different palettes, tones and hues."

Inspired by her extensive world travels, and the aesthetic influences discovered in her hometowns of Mexico City, Los Angeles, and Saint-Germain-des-Prés, French-Mexican designer Colette Steckel’s work is aetherial yet assertive, transforming traditionally feminine motifs like birds in flight, shining stars, and roses in bloom into symbols of power with her bold eye and use of striking materials like intermingled black and white diamonds.
