In 2012, Los Angeles-based designers Sara Smith and Mara Rothbart launched their uniquely beautiful and everyday inspired jewelry collection, Smith & Mara. Both Southern California natives, Sara and Mara have always had a strong passion for simplicity, beauty and fashion. Together, their entrepreneurial spirits and talent inspired them to create a high quality, redefined concept of everyday pieces. Their line is shaped by geometric forms and the desire to play up a woman's natural features. Sometimes fun and cheeky, Smith & Mara staples are ear climbers, delicate stacking cuffs and simple diamond drop pendants. The duo believes not that jewelry should make the woman but that the woman should make the jewelry. Every item is carefully handmade to perfection to provide exceptional quality to their clients.
We want to create pieces that women can feel comfortable wearing every day. We are both very "California" in that our personal styles are very laid back; we literally wear jeans and T-shirts on a daily basis.
